May’s Global Theme is “Backwards”
During March we celebrated “Reuse” at CreativeMornings events around the world. Now for May, we’re excited to announce our next theme: “Backwards.” Our past Chicago host Mig Reyes selected the theme and the talented Chicago-based photographer Paul Octavious provided a photo for our monthly illustration.
A few speakers from our 50 participating cities include Pam Goldsmith-Jones (Vancouver), Mira Kaddoura (Portland), and Seth Godin (New York).
To find a May event near you, keep your eye on creativemornings.com, or follow your local chapter on Twitter. As always, free tickets are available starting the Monday before the talk.
We’ll see you in the morning!

Our April theme is “The Future” brought to you by Squarespace
From recycling bins to open-source ideas, this March we dissected “Reuse” across our chapters. April is arriving in full force, and we’re jazzed to announce our next theme: “The Future” brought to you by Squarespace. San Francisco chapter host Erika Hall selected the theme, and the talented Frank Chimero illustrated it.
Writer/artist Austin Kleon will speak at our shiny new Austin, TX chapter. Other speakers include location software maker/explorer Amber Case (Portland), and Catherine Rohr, who founded an accelerator program for ambitious entrepreneurs with criminal histories (New York.)
To find the April event closest to you, keep your eye on CreativeMornings.com, or follow your local chapter on Twitter. As always, free tickets are available starting the Monday before the talk.

A CreativeMornings Month On “Money”
After a month of Happiness, we’re exuberantly pleased to announce February’s theme: “Money,” brought to you by Squarespace.
The theme was selected by our Zurich host, Daniel Frei. A few speakers from our 40+ participating cities include Jessica Jackley (Kiva), Ellen Chisa & Nikki Lee (Awesome Foundation) and Kim Baffi & Jason Pierce (Goodby, Silverstein & Partners).
We’re lucky to partner with organizations that not only support, but participate in our global conversations.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a fine artist, illustrator, designer, art director, or entrepreneur – if you’re trying to make a living doing what you love, you’ve likely faced the difficult question of how to value your work. Squarespace is excited to explore a global conversation on money this month in cooperation with CreativeMornings.— Squarespace on the topic of money

One year ago, CreativeMornings was in four cities. We now host our free monthly events for thousands of attendees in 35 cities across six continents. Last Friday, we launched a Kickstarter campaign to create a single, searchable archive for all of our talks.

Support the Kickstarter Campaign!

If you’ve ever enjoyed a free croissant and coffee, attended a CreativeMornings talk, or watched one online, we’d be honored if you’d back our Kickstarter campaign.

CreativeMornings is at an exciting, crucial place, a point we could have never imagined being at three and a half years ago. Help us make it even better.
