May’s Global Theme is “Backwards”
During March we celebrated “Reuse” at CreativeMornings events around the world. Now for May, we’re excited to announce our next theme: “Backwards.” Our past Chicago host Mig Reyes selected the theme and the talented Chicago-based photographer Paul Octavious provided a photo for our monthly illustration.
A few speakers from our 50 participating cities include Pam Goldsmith-Jones (Vancouver), Mira Kaddoura (Portland), and Seth Godin (New York).
To find a May event near you, keep your eye on creativemornings.com, or follow your local chapter on Twitter. As always, free tickets are available starting the Monday before the talk.
We’ll see you in the morning!
This March Our Theme is Reuse!
February we celebrated and deconstructed “Money” across the globe. Now March is upon us, and we’re happy to announce our next theme: “Reuse.” Our LA chapter host Jon Setzen selected the theme and recommended us to the wonderful Roxanne Daner who crafted our Reuse illustration.
A few speakers from our 50+ participating cities include Ron Gonen (New York), Stephen Ken (Los Angeles), and Julio Rodriguez (Bogotá).
To find the March event closest to you, keep your eye on CreativeMornings.com, or follow your local chapter on Twitter. As always, free tickets are available starting the Monday before the talk.
Have fun, and if you’re feeling the reuse vibe, bring your own coffee mug!
A CreativeMornings Month On “Money”
After a month of Happiness, we’re exuberantly pleased to announce February’s theme: “Money,” brought to you by Squarespace.
The theme was selected by our Zurich host, Daniel Frei. A few speakers from our 40+ participating cities include Jessica Jackley (Kiva), Ellen Chisa & Nikki Lee (Awesome Foundation) and Kim Baffi & Jason Pierce (Goodby, Silverstein & Partners).
We’re lucky to partner with organizations that not only support, but participate in our global conversations.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a fine artist, illustrator, designer, art director, or entrepreneur – if you’re trying to make a living doing what you love, you’ve likely faced the difficult question of how to value your work. Squarespace is excited to explore a global conversation on money this month in cooperation with CreativeMornings.

We’re so excited about the first CreativeMornings global theme this month, that we’re having two speakers talk about Art + Tech:
- Jason Galeon, WETA Digital
- Matt Von Trott, Assembly Ltd
Tina Roth Eisenberg, Founder of CreativeMornings and John Maeda, President of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), discuss the importance of mixing Arts + Tech in this video announcing the first global themed month for CreativeMornings.
For the first time, this June, all 29 CreativeMornings chapters will be hosting their events under one common, unified theme: The Intersection of Arts + Technology, presented in partnership with RISD. To find your nearest chapter and the most up to date speaker schedule, visit creativemornings.com.
